Wight-Meyer Vineyards and Winery: Diamond Harvest, Crush and Press

Wight-Meyer Vineyards and Winery, in Shepherdsville Kentucky, welcomes all press out to their annual Kentucky Diamond Harvest, Crush and Press this Saturday August 22, 2015. The event will start at 8am and is open to the public. All ages are welcomed. The event typically draws over twenty volunteers plus staff.

 

During the event, grapes will be picked directly from the vine then crushed and pressed to begin the process of being made into wine.  The wine being made on this day is Wight-Meyer’s top awarded wine, Diamond.  Some of the top awards won by Diamond wine include some of the region’s top awards:
