Results: 2015 Indy International Wine Competition

Billed as the nation’s largest scientifically organized and independent wine competition, the Indy International is always an eagerly anticipated event to showcase some of the world’s best wines each  year.  The competition receives more than 2,000 entries from 15 countries and 40 U.S. states, including Kentucky.

Purple Toad Winery shone brightly once again at the annual competition. The Paducah based winery received the prestigious “Best of Class” award in Fruit Blends for their PeachBerry wine. Additionally, Purple Toad  took home two “Double Gold,” five “Gold,” three “Silver” and five “Bronze” medals.

Reid’s Livery Winery (Alvaton, KY) also impressed the judges at the 2015 competition, earning a “Gold” medal for their Diamond (2014) and a “Silver” for their Norton (2014).  Wildside Winery (Versailles, KY) rounded out the accolades for Kentucky’s wineries earning a “Silver” medal for their 2013 Chambourcin.
