Purple Toad Winery wins exclusive “Fruit Wine of the Year” at the 2014 Indy International Wine Competition.

Purple Toad Winery of Paducah KY wins “Fruit Wine of the Year” with Lauren’s Blackberry at the Indy International Wine Competition. The Indy International Wine is one of the largest competitions in the US with over 2,200 commercial entries. This is the first time since 2006 a Kentucky winery has won one of the “Best of Show” awards at the INDY Competition.
Kentucky Wineries did well at the Indy event with 1-Best of Show, 3-Best of Class, 4 Double Gold, 4-Gold, 11-Silver & 5-Bronze medals.
Purple Toad led the Kentucky wineries with Fruit Wine of the Year, Double Gold, & “Best of Class” for Lauren’s Blackberry, Double Gold & “Best of Class” for Black Peach, Gold & “Best of Class” for Black & Bruised. Purple Toad also won Gold for Paducah Peach, Steven’s Strawberry, & Sangria. Silver for Paducah Harbor, PeachBerry, Merlot, Killer B’s, Black Shadow , Gluhwein and a Bronze for Paducah Blue.
Misty Meadow Winery of Owensboro KY won Double Gold for Chardonel, Silver for Apple/Pear and Bronze for Chambourcin.
Grimes Mill Winery of Lexington KY wins Double Gold for Malbec Reserve.
Baker-Bird Winery of Augusta KY wins Silver for Silver Swallow, & Cabernet Franc and Bronze for Vidal Blanc & Cabernet Franc.
Reid’s Livery Winery of Bowling Green KY won Silver for Silver Streak, Blue Moon of Kentucky and Bronze for Cranberry Pleasure.
