How many wineries are there in Kentucky?
Kentucky currently boasts more than fifty wineries.

Can I visit Kentucky’s wineries?
Most of our wineries are open to the public.   However, please visit our wineries page for more information about individual tasting room hours of operation.  And, it’s always a good idea to call the winery you wish to visit before hitting the road.  Be sure to check out our events calendar for special activities at our various wineries. Kentucky grapevine acreage is currently estimated at 500.

How much wine does Kentucky produce?
An estimated 100,000 cases (more than 200,000 gallons) are currently produced annually.

What types of grapes grow well in Kentucky?
Kentucky’s geography, climate and soil make it suitable for growing a wide variety of grapes, but not all grapes flourish here.  Check out our grape glossary or watch our “From Soil to Grape” videos for details.

Where can I purchase Kentucky wine?
